The vegan community in Calgary is amazing! There are events and markets happening more often and there are so many new vegan restaurants and restaurants with more options available popping up all the time!

Here are some new vegan restaurants in Calgary that you should definitely check out.

This place has some of the best vegan food I have EVER had. I need to get the “Mac Daddy” Burger every time I go (it’s a burger with tofu bacon, a mac and cheese patty, and a burger patty) because I love it so much. Another favourite of mine is the “Hot Mess” burger. They have the best fries, fish tacos that look like the real deal, and they have even created a breakfast sandwich with a vegan egg that’s runny like a real egg!!! In the summer months Vegan Street Eats has a food truck but now that it’s winter you can find them at Granary Road.

The newest addition to the vegan restaurant scene is The Dandelion Cafe. And they have made all my dreams come true with the best “chicken” and waffles I’ve ever had. The benny is also a must-try and everything else on the menu. I definitely recommend going on an empty stomach.

Check out their amazing menu and cute spot:

Copper Branch is an all-vegan chain with lots of gluten-free options that has opened in downtown Calgary! They have the yummiest and healthiest looking power bowls but also offer burgers and poutine (I will have all the poutine please).

The Heart of Bragg Creek isn’t very new and technically is not in Calgary, it’s in Bragg Creek. But I love this space so much that I just had to share it. It’s a yoga studio and they also have an all-vegan cafe with the best baked goods ever! Muffins, cakes, cookies, all the good stuff. They also have a new line of vegan yogurt that I’m in love with. It’s the perfect spot to hang out after a hike or spend the day working.

Flora Fromage isn’t a restaurant but it’s the newest artisanal vegan cheese in Calgary! The first time I bought it I ate the whole thing in one night… It’s perfect for a charcuterie board or to bring to a dinner party or to eat by yourself like I did.
