WHY YOU NEED A ZEROWATER FILTER IN YOUR HOME

Growing up, my mum was adamant about us drinking filtered water so it has been ingrained into me to always have a water filter. When I saw the ZeroWater filter on TV I knew I had to have it! I was so excited that I reached out to them to work together on this blog post.

After chatting with ZeroWater, I learned a lot about water contamination and filters and want to share a few reasons why you need a ZeroWater filter in your home…

Did you know that every household has a different number of dissolved solids in their water?

The purpose of filtering your water is to remove dissolved solids which are metals, salts, minerals and runoff that affect the look and taste of your water. If you live in a house with older pipes or if your water has to travel a long way then you probably have more dissolved solids in your water. As well, different areas in the country have different levels of contamination in their water.

The tap water in our home reads from 200-250 ppm of dissolved solids and with the ZeroWater filter it’s 0 ppm!

The level of contamination in your water will affect when you need to change your water filter.

If you have a high amount of contamination then your water filter is working harder which means that it will need to be replaced sooner. Other filters tell you to replace your filter after a certain amount of time that has passed or amount of water that has passed through but it may have stopped working long before then.

I love that the ZeroWater filter comes with a TDS meter so that you can always check how many dissolved solids are in your water. This is how I was able to measure how many dissolved solids were in our tap water. When the TDS meter reads 006 they recommend you change your filter.

ZeroWater thought of the smallest details.

Have you ever filled up your water filter but then had to wait before you pour any water out so that it doesn’t spill everywhere? The ZeroWater pitchers have a spigot on the back so that you can still get water while its filtering! And it’s the best when it’s in the fridge because you don’t have to pull the whole pitcher out every time.

I’m so happy that I have a ZeroWater! They have a 5-stage filter versus the standard conventional 2-stage and it’s the only filter Certified by the NSF to Reduce both Lead and Chromium. I find that the filtered water tastes better, it tastes cleaner and I have peace of mind knowing that my water is being filtered properly.
