SIMPLE + AFFORDABLE HALLOWEEN DECORATIONS

It’s our first Halloween in our new home!

We were previously in an apartment and there was no point in decorating but now I’m very excited to dress up our house for all the trick-or-treaters! The only thing is, with moving, we’ve spent a lot of money in the last couple of months so the goal was affordable Halloween decorations.

I’m going to show you how we decorated inside and out on a budget and I’ve linked everything for you.

When you walk past our house you see a large hairy spider on the tree with a large web hanging down from the house. I think that this web is the Halloween decoration of the year, I’ve been seeing it on a ton of houses. And I can see why, I love that it takes up a lot of space and it’s very affordable. I bought the web from Home Depot and the spiders from Amazon but you can buy everything as a package from Amazon too.

As you walk up our pathway we have a small patch of grass on the right where we added tombstones. I also found a bag of bones and just spread it on the grass in front. I love that these tombstones have grass details on them, I think it looks more authentic and they came in a pack of 3!

When you open the front door, you see a wall of flying bats. These were very easy to do, I just bought a pack of pre-cut bats from Amazon and it came with the stickers too. I added some webbing and fake spiders to a vase that was already there. I created a stack with books we already had and added the skull and a black candle on top.

The flowers are actually just an old bouquet I had, they are dying and I thought it looked pretty creepy and cool. I added a black floral piece that I found at Michaels to make it a little darker. I found the cauldron at the dollar store and we are going to fill it with candy to hand out. And finally, I used an old mason jar and added IKEA candles which we already had.

In the living room, I set our Frame TV to a creepy picture I found online. I also added some black cloth to hang off the mantle for an easy way to make it more spooky.

On one side of the TV, I added the same black florals from Michaels to a vase that was already there. I had a few extra skulls so I added one to the Fall pumpkins I had out. And on the other side is decor I already had and I added more of the webbing + spiders.

And that’s all of our Halloween decorations for this year! I tried to keep things simple, tasteful and affordable and then next year we can keep adding to what we already have.

Happy Halloween!!!
