HAIR MAKEOVER AT DAWN BRADLEY HAIR BOUTIQUE
I'm so excited to be bringing you another post with Dawn Bradley Hair Boutique! I've been getting my hair done by Dawn Bradley since she moved to Calgary just over 2 years ago and I haven't let any one else touch my hair since. We've done some amazing hair makeovers over the last two years and I thought it would be fun to show you the very first hair makeover she did for me.
We called this look the "Pumpkin Spice Latte" which got featured by a famous Instagram page!
Since then, Dawn continues to give me amazing hair which gets better with every appointment. When I first started my blog I featured the boutique on a post about updating my hair for Fall and I recently did a post about an easy way to get healthier hair.
And now we come to my favourite hair makeover thus far.
Below are the before photos of my hair and I just have to explain that this was 7 months of not having my hair cut or re-painted. I had my hair toned about 4 months ago but that's about it. I am the kind of person that gets my hair done twice a year and that is mostly because I am very lazy with my hair BUT I have vowed to come in more often so that I can actually maintain the amazing hair that Dawn gives me. I apologize for how brutal these before photos are.
If you read my first post, you'll know that Dawn specializes in hair painting which is a technique used to get more natural-looking hair colour. In this most recent hair makeover we cut about 4 inches of hair off, did a full head of hair painting, an Olaplex treatment, and also some toning to get an ashier tone in my hair. I am so in love with my new hair. It's perfect for Spring and it is definitely my favourite that we have done so far.
It has been amazing seeing Dawns business grow and to see so many people appreciating her artistry. Dawn also loves her clients and is always finding ways to make your experience even better. She recently redecorated and is doing some renovations! She also has a junior stylist, Lyndsey, there full time and she makes the experience even more fun. When I was there Lyndsey had a client who was in love with her hair and it's so nice to see people feeling so good about themselves after these ladies take care of them. I think it's amazing that no matter how you feel going in you will always come out feeling fantastic.
I love going to the Boutique to get better hair but really I just want to hang out with Dawn, Lyndsey, and Leroy (the shop dog). Even though I spent over 3 hours there it felt like it was over too soon because I could just hang out all day there.
I wanted to do something a little different for this blog post so I included my afternoon at the salon in my most recent vlog. You can see the before and after of my hair in action and also some behind the scenes from our hair makeover! Enjoy!
